SOLUBAG

There’s nothing worse than getting your cargoes damaged by moisture by the time it reaches their destination.  Metal parts arrive corroded, cardboard boxes became moldy and wet, furniture are damaged, and food commodities are found to be spoiled and inedible; thus resulting to lose the company millions of dollars.

These damages are caused by the so-called “container rain” which usually occur inside a cargo container during shipment due to uncontrolled humidity.  Sometimes protective packaging products like plastics, coatings and silica gel just won’t solve the problem.

The solution is to keep the environment dry within the shipping container. We, at Philippine Desiccants, Inc specifically developed SOLUBAG to combat condensation during long-haul transport via air, sea or land. It can absorb moisture at 300% of its own weight. It quickly reduces shipping container humidity to a predetermined lower level and keeps it there for an extended period of time. More importantly, it is environment friendly, so it is not a problem to dispose.

• Based on above figures, the reliability of SOLUBAG to adsorb damage-causing moisture is far and above that of the ordinary container desiccants.  The SOLUBAG can be depended on to keep cargo dry even during erratic and extreme weather changes during the long-haul voyage.

• Notice that the amount of moisture adsorbed by only 32 bags of SOLUBAG is even higher by 6,400 grams or approximately 6.4 liters, and 5,120 grams or 5.1 liters, than that of 64 bags of clay or silica gel container desiccant at 28% and 32% adsorption capacity respectively.

• For clay and silica gel to be able to adsorb as much moisture as the Solubag, one needs 54 pcs or 108 pcs of 500-grams clay, and 48 pcs or  96 pcs of 500-grams silica gel for a  20 ft. container and a 40 ft. container respectively.
